This mornings update

This morning Grace still hasn't tried the hypertonic saline as the pharmacy still haven't quite got their act together, it would seem that now that they have agreed to prescribe, they are still having a little difficulty in mixing it up, but we are hopeful that it will be this morning.

The Dr's have decided that Grace will be transferred back to her own hospital in Coventry and remain there overnight for another 24 hours observation, and that she will remain on IV's for another week.

Obviously all of the results are not back yet and will take a week or so, but the Dr's have decided if they find nothing else that Grace will definitely trial over night oxygen.

Grace is feeling much better today and more like her normal self...............

Glad to hear things are a bit more positive. Hope the isotonic goes OK. We've had good reports about it as they are big on it here in Cymru. Although they didn't get round to Sas's trial last time so have put it off till possibly the next admission.
Am I right in thinking Grace is already on omeprazole? If so what will it mean they will do with the pH probe results if they are positive? Do you know when the results will be back?
The scarring you mentioned could be due to previous infections. In fact it's more than likely.

Like the last picture BTW LOL!

Gorgeous piccies of the little star herself, especially that last one ;)

Wanted to add too it sounds like you have a very good thorough team there looking after her which is fantastic stuff. It also sounds like the O2 trial could be good news, before I started overnight O2 I was sleeping loads during the day, and I definitely got more energy after commencing it. And my daytime sats went UP!

Anyway here's hoping that they find a few new tricks to keep Grace feeling well. much love to you xxx

Thanks guys!

Mark Grace is on ranitidine so I suppose if there are any findings they will start her on omeprazole. The endoscope showed not any real damage to the area around where reflux would cause problems so hopefully its just something else to eliminate.

I hope Sas is doing well at the moment and you are all getting ready for Christmas xx

Angel will probably be the name for the wheelchair for obvious reasons and Grace did choose it herself. Her team have been very thorough and hopefully all of the tests will turn things around soon xx

Hi Moo, just wanted to say I'm thinking of you and Gracie lots. As Emily says, it sounds like she is being thorougly investigated and that they are not happy to allow things to keep slipping, which is really important. Grace's tummy problems sound a lot like mine - have they tried her on movicol? I've tried pretty much every type of laxative going to try to help my problems so let me know if you wanna compare notes!
Much love xxxxx
